Please give an overview of the virtual internship and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The task was challenging but a great learning experience. The interactions were limited as it was a virtual insight day mainly based on presentations.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Learnt a little about Gibson Dunn's socials. Learnt a little about the firm's charity, sustainability, voluntary, and local community initiatives (although these do not particularly appeal to me). Learnt a little about the firm's sports clubs.
Sadly did not learn about Gibson Dunn's diversity initiatives. Did not learn about the firm's leisure clubs.
As it was a virtual insight day I was free to do anything between presentations.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the virtual internship?
I enjoyed the presentation task but unfortunately there was not a good atmosphere within my team. The company culture seemed average for a commercial law firm overall. The virtual experience met my expectations very well. I would definitely go back to the Gibson Dunn.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP
No interview process, assessment centre or preparation for the virtual insight day. If I reapplied, I would tell myself to focus even more on commercial awareness and what makes Gibson Dunn different. I was inspired to join by the fact that I am very interested in joining Gibson Dunn in the future.
