Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My day to day role consists of attending client meetings, checking my emails and responding, attending Court and conferences with counsel, attending internal team meetings/training sessions and taking new enquiry calls into the team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am thoroughly enjoying my programme. It is challenging and sometimes can push you out of your comfort zone, but that is where you learn and develop.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have developed existing skills as I was previously a Paralegal Apprentice. These include communication skills, presentation skills and teamwork.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well structured. My employer gives me 1 full day off per week to focus on my studies and I work the remaining 4 days at home/in the office.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
My employer is very supportive. I always attend internal training sessions and weekly catch ups with my manager. They are very approachable and I never feel silly for asking questions.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider sets up review meetings every 10/12 weeks to check in with how our studies are going and discuss where there can be development. We also have a set yearly timetable so that we always know what module/unit we are working on.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I believe that my qualification helps me to perform better in my role as I have the experience of a Level 3 Paralegal qualification and I am also working towards a Level 7 Solicitor qualification. This has developed my knowledge of different areas of the law.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I attend professional networking events in my role as an Apprentice, such as events held at Barristers Chambers. This is a great way to build on your external connections.
