5/5
Personally I enjoy the programme a lot

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt a lot of new skills including health and safety skills within the workplace to make sure I keep myself safe and my colleagues safe, I also have learnt loads of theory behind maths and physics, and also gained loads of problem solving skills to help me work through problems efficiently on my own or within a team.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
We have had a very large amount of issues with the HNC assignments as some of them appear to be completely wrong and not in line with the course syllabus, some assignments don’t even allow us to pass or hit higher criteria’s.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Receive a reasonable amount of support from employers but within the first year there is a little bit of a disconnect between the HNC students and Babcock themselves.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Though support with the lessons that have been planned but 2 of the other lessons out of our 4 have incorrect assignments and content causing us to not even reach pass merit or destination criteria.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The information that we are receiving can be very useful for us in the working world when get more involved but with the correct structure of the HNC course there is a lack of content and assignments being right causing us to have a gap in our knowledge
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
There are loads of unions and groups you can join to meet new people and develop your skills for yourself and within a team

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Babcock International Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Despite the kinks that the HNC course has I would still recommend because you get to apply theoretical knowledge to a real world problem and this is a very good way of learning for myself and probably others.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babcock International Group?
If you strive to be the best version of yourself and show that you want to improve and learn I believe this is a good quality to show when presenting yourself at interviews or open days.
