Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
I am accountable for all compliance including finance health and safety and GDPR.
It’s my role to create plans for guest measures and push the team to achieve and all green wincard
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
It is not easy to manage my day to day job with the apprenticeship as it’s not as easy as ‘doing it along side your work’ like they sell it to you
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I have added new skills on developing par rates and how the wider hospitality businesses influence how whitbread is run
I have connected with other managers across the estate as well and have grown in confidence throughout
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?
I like Aptem and how it works though not all of it is relevant for me as I have over 10 years managment experience and sometimes I feel I am re-reading the same material over and over
How much support do you receive from your employer?
If your doing an apprentiship you should take control of your own learning
I reach out to my coach if needed and time managment is difficult but that’s hospitality
You have to fit it in
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
They give me all the tools I need make sure I know how to use the tools connect me to webinars and skills days and also to virtual classrooms which is great
Good provider and very helpful to me
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
I will also be able to guide my employees through their apprentiships which is very helpful.
I think it will give me an edge if applying for another role and will help me with my confidence
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
