Working to connect the team through the creation of in-person events and communications writing. This role does widely range to other activates, such as dealing with statistics, requests from other employees, etc
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme itself is great - the first months provide a structured and clear path for all apprentices. This includes monthly group developmental calls, socials and check-ins with the Early Careers Leads.
The course itself can sometimes be separate to the role, as sometimes hard to put the learnings into practise.

Yes - lot's!
I have been given lot's of opportunity to develop in new and existing skills. This includes partaking in a Facilitation Academy, learning how to facilitate meetings whether they are virtual or in-person. I have also attained new video editing skills using Adobe Premier Pro. These examples give me a wealth of knowledge that I can carry within my role.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

The support has been great from day one. This includes help with my End Point Assessment, where I was guided over multiple sessions into top tips and mock interviews.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have had mixed experience with the training provider (separate to Fidelity).
Initially, the onboarding was quite confusing. Whilst most in the course were early on in their career and at the time starting a new role - it could have been clearer.
The support throughout was great, I achieved constant feedback and check-ins with my coach.
Towards the End Point Assessment, the support was not as visible. Parts of the assessment was not explored prior to my exam.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The course covers a range of interpersonal skills which are great for everyone to know in the workplace. It is definitely a great introduction into Business Management/Administration, but there were some occasions where I would need to create myself an activity outside of my role to meet certain descriptors.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We constantly have social activities and networking events at work, from Social Mobility week, presenting at Early Careers events or celebrating International Women's Day! There is a lot to get involved with :)

Why?
The culture at Fidelity has been one of the best things I have found since being here. People want you to succeed and are more than willing to set time aside to help with development or any blockers. Social mobility is also widely encouraged, including getting involved in opportunities outside of your role and internal moving.
We are also lucky with flexible working, which allows us to work in a way that suits us individually.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fidelity International?
Be yourself and show your interpersonal skills within the interview ie take lead in some areas, work with the other candidates etc.
