To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme a lot and I'm excited to continue the programme as there is a lot of support provided. It can sometimes be difficult to balance work, university and life so its important to stick to a routine and get help if things get overwhelming.

I have learnt many new soft skills which has allowed me to be more confident in my communication with others.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support. I have a line manager who is very supportive and for my university I have an AOO coordinator who ensures I'm not falling behind and I am implementing my knowledge into my work. I also will have a mentor for my RICS competencies.

There are many opportunities to get involved in social activities. There are sometimes end of the week meetups, sports days every year, and many networking events especially for apprenticeships.

I believe the company focuses on providing a balanced lifestyle to an employee without overwhelming them. The core values of Motts align with my values as Motts strive to work towards a more sustainable built environment. Overall Motts is a great company that is extremely accommodating and inclusive.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mott MacDonald?
It is okay if you lack the technical knowledge, but it is important that you show you are eager to learn and apply that knowledge to your work. You should come across as someone who wants to contribute to the team and is a team player as that would make you more valuable.
