Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Lots of different experiences from day to day, this can include being on site or in office. When in the office I am often using modelling software, doing calculations or writing reports.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme, everyone is very friendly and helpful when you aren't clear on something. The lecturers are very good with assisting anyone who needs it, with a very good monitoring system that tracks the engagement of each student.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, there are constant learning opportunities with the company providing their own training through emails for software or processes and events being put forward for all to attend. We are also encouraged to attend or host 'lunch and learns', in which, we are brought together to listen to a subject that someone has recently researched and are able to ask questions to the speaker in a friendly environment.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is quite well structured. There are some areas that are still being worked on by the training provider, such as the website that is used for logging 'off the job hours' however it is clearly improving which is good as they are aware that it can be better and are actively taking on feedback.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support from my employer, including regular catch ups with my line manager and many opportunities to take on training exercises. I also have lots of support whenever I take on a new task from the colleague that has passed it on to me, ensuring that I feel comfortable and competent to complete it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider is very supportive and they are constantly checking up on my and all of my peers engagement to ensure that no one is being left behind in the course. They also check to make sure that we are given the right opportunities at work to compliment the learning that is undergone at university.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification that I am working towards through my training provider is essential to the work I carry out in my current role, I can see clear improvements in my work and knowledge to tasks that I take on as I advance in my apprenticeship that directly link with my university work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are always social events that are being offered at my work, such as sports day, paintballing, theatre visits, weekly football and many more. It's a great way to meet new friends at work and you always have the option to stay busy.
