Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am a Senior Service Customer Advisor. I speak to customers and give them an in depth talk about the products/services they want and that will fit their needs. Without giving advice or mis-selling products/services that the customer doesn't need. I also for my apprenticeship analyse leakage data.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I am really enjoying my programme I am being tested and challenged to be a better version of myself. It is broadening my skill set and making me be very organized as I have to fit everything in such as work, apprenticeship work and people board. It has also opened up a lot of opportunities for me as the people board has lead me to be interested in apprentice council.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my communication skills as I have been talking to customers on a regular basis which has also lead to my customer service skills improving. I am independent and so my problem solving skills have been put to the test. As well as being a part of people board my organization skills have improved as I have had to balance work, apprenticeship work and people board meetings/tasks.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
As I love to be organised and know what I am doing day to day and week by week, my programme is very well structured for me as I know what I am doing and when my work is due and when my deadlines are. I am also working at a good pace for me to learn at.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I get a lot of help not only from my line manager but my colleagues and the senior managers. I feel if my line manager isn't here I have enough people around me willing to help me that I won't feel stuck or that I can't ask for help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I have weekly contact with my coach as I am always emailing him my work and progress he is very helpful and always responds promptly to my emails and if needs be he will call me to explain a certain area of the module/work etc. I am always held accountable and told deadlines in advanced so I can prepare and have the work done.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel as though my qualification learning is giving me the basic foundations of the job role and is allowing me to create links between my job and qualification. I am building up my knowledge of the job through my qualification so it is helping me perform better as I did not come from a financial job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are lots of opportunities to network e.g. volunteering days next week we are all going tree planting to give back to our community where we will all work together. I have just been taken on a recognition lunch with some of my colleagues that had been recognized to a restaurant, as well as apprenticeship days where we meet up with people from other offices which have allowed me to stay in contact with them.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have learnt so much in such a short space of time, made new friends who I love working alongside/with and the management is like no other job I have worked for, its fair but pushes you to your full potential. I have had so many opportunities come with the job as well as perks e.g. pension etc
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Be yourself in the interview because if you aren't it is going to be a hard persona to maintain, don't be daunted by the fact it is a big successful business and you don't initially know what going on...one day you will contribute to it being successful and embrace every opportunity that comes to you.
