Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
First point of contact customer service.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I enjoy the programme but I haven't had much luck with my coach. My coach was unapproachable, I didn't feel heard or understood no matter the occasions i brought this up to them. It may just be a case of not gelling with my coach; I did request to change coaches but this was denied.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Customer service in relation to banking processes and systems.
Use of banking processes and systems.
Excel spreadsheets.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It is well organised, the webinars we're incredibly helpful. I found using the hub slightly confusing but managed to use it for sections that mattered most. Being able to watch the recorded webinars after the session was very helpful.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lot of support. My employer is very helpful and flexible with my apprenticeship hours.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider (BPP) is very helpful and supplies enough relevant information, my only poor experience was with my coach- we just didn't work very well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It has given me a better insight into British values, morals to bring into the customer service side of my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
yes there are, due to personal circumstances im not always able to apply for these extra-curricular activities

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I have enjoyed my experience working for the natwest group. Its constant development into evolving for the better for customers and businesses is inspiring.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
Be open about personal circumstances, stresses, worries etc with your Team leaders. I have encountered a lot of team leaders in my time here and all of them are open, warm, friendly and approachable. If you feel you need upskilling in any area (no matter how long you have worked here for) they will assist you in that extra training.
