Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Running the store in general. Roles such as stocking shelves, operating checkouts, administration jobs, stock counts, signing deliveries, etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy what I do for work and the modules I learn about.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Learnt many new skills as this was my first job, so learnt everything there is with how retail stores operate. I have also developed personal skills with my communication, confidence and I am more open minded.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It is very well structured with times and dates always being planned. It is very quick on response when support is needed. Aldi itself could help a little bit more with more opportunity to learn and progress.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
There is quite a lot of support when it comes to the store. All managers are approachable in terms of help and will always push you forwards.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support from the provider is excellent. Quick, easy and always available.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It opens your mind as to many things that you would not previously think about. This allows you to know exactly what you need to focus on to develop your role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
They are not planned through the company, however as the staff are quite close we will plan events after work such as football on Sundays, or whatever really.

Recommendations & Advice

Yes
Why?
Not a bad job to work and pays well compared to the rest of the industry. The staff are really good and you can develop lots of skills there.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
A tip would be to just go for it as there is initially be a lot to take in. But once you settle down you'll enjoy the job more and more.
