To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do enjoy most things of the programme, work wise I think it's great and how it's relatable to my education that the learning provider provides. Sometimes lecturers don't necessarily know our commitments and can get slightly hectic when work is busy and deadlines coming up. Regardless, is something expected
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Many skills learnt and still practicing.
Communication - an everyday thing, always speaking to someone else where I would need to articulate myself in a formal manner.
Presentation - Sharing and presenting findings and work, as well as also communicating. This can be when it comes to clients, team, other business units and more.
Leadership - When taking charge of work or initiatives, being able to delegate, taking part, over seeing juniors or newer employees.
Technical skills - There are many tools and resources that Capgemini make available to learn all sorts of technical skills, through Coursera, Udemy, PluralSight, Codecademy and more !

Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very organised however I would say it can be shorter as it's dragged out quite long. Again work wise, it's perfectly fine but the learning provider can be a bit of a mismatch and see us purely as just students and not remembering out commitments to work too. And when something goes wrong within the education side of things, it can really affect the time we have on our work. Not extensively a problem but not entirely convenient
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A great amount of support is received from our employer. The EET group within the company are always there to assist their employees in regards to any issues, and if they are not able to. They always point you in the right direction. As well as in each Business Unit, there are direct contact we can make with people when we need support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We get the necessary support when things get difficult by the training provider when it comes to working towards our qualifications. However, and there are office hours of our module leaders where we can book with them to talk to clear any misunderstandings to help us through our issues/queries.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

This modules covered do cross over extensively to the work I do within my role, which really is beneficial. Module leaders always put things at an enterprise point of view which really helps with understanding things about the role and what other skills we can transfer over. As well as the other way round.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes! There are religious communities that create social events so whatever religion you are, there's a space/community for you to help you feel more comfortable starting off or later on to have people to relate to. As well as this, there are technical guilds so if you're interested in a specific date tool, there are spaces to get involved with.

Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There's a role for everyone, and can't recommend it more. Great team who look after apprentices whenever you have a question and many things to get involved in. Many apprentices who are further down their course so there's always many people who can help with any questions and can advise what they did when they were in your shoes, and what not to do as they may have done.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
Keep an open mind. So much to learn, and you control what you learn. It's in your hands and that's what makes it great, especially if you like remote working too ! Great people here to learn from and just the best place to get your foot in the corporate world.
