Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Deputy Store Manager role involves organising where each member of staff works for the day, completing date checks across the store, organising our wastage in terms of what must be thrown out and what we can give to charity, and dealing with a variety of customer complaints
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
The apprenticeship allowed for me to become a better person and set me very interesting tasks to complete. I felt that it was very enjoyable to complete these tasks and improve my knowledge. I didn't have any issues with completing any of the tasks on my own, which I liked.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
My communication skills have developed as a result of the amount of customer complaints I have had to personally deal with, along with communicating with staff in terms of what I would like them to do. I have also become more confident due to these factors as well.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme was incredibly well organised and structured. Each subject was broken down into it's own category, and allowed for me to slowly develop my skills. It helped me retain the information that I needed to learn and helped me become a better manager because of it. If I had to create an apprenticeship scheme, I would structure it very similar to this
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
The support I receiece from my employer varies. Sometimes I feel very heavily supported and that my employer is always thinking of ways for me to develop my skills, while other times, I feel as if I'm not supported and am not being shown different things to do, as if I'm a glorified store assistant
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider was always there to lend me support and really helped me progress as I went through my course. I feel as if their guidance is what heavily helped me to reach the heights I have from this apprenticeship. Without them, I may have struggled to pass the course
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Before completing the apprenticeship, I was a lot more nervous than I currently am. I have since been able to flourish within my role and I feel confident with my responsibilities as a deputy store manager. I would recommend the course to anyone who doesn't yet feel confident in themselves
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
There are no extra curricular activities to get involved with at work, but I would love to create ways for team building within the team. The only problem in regards to such a thing would be finding the time where enough people would want to join.
