I work in international growth for Pfizer where I have been assigned products which I am responsible for. I am responsible for creating a plan of action and establishing timelines to for the submission of these products in certain markets. This involves talking with many people from many areas of the business and ensuring they all know what I need and for when to ensure the success of the submission.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

So far I have really enjoyed the programme. When joining everybody was really friendly and there is a really good vibe to the workplace. People are quick to offer support and aid you when possible. There is always something going on on site such as corporate events, fundraisers, or free food for people to try here and there.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills during my time at Pfizer. I have a very supportive manager who is very enthusiastic about my personal and professional development and pushes me to seek out opportunities for myself and even finds opportunities for me to aid my growth. These skills range from the most basic such as getting better at using Microsoft office to more challenging things such a s [public speaking.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Some what organised - at the start all undergraduates/apprentices need to complete their training in order to gain access to systems/parts of the site/tools, then there is inductions to different teams and areas and generally the 'settling in' stage is more structured. Once settled I found it to be a bit more ad-hoc and gaining experiences where you can which I do not mind.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive an enormous amount of support from Pfizer. Whilst working here I have worked with a multitude of more senior colleagues who are very supportive and create a good learning environment where I am free to ask questions and challenge peoples thinking and the processes that are in place.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
My training provider is really supportive. They are keen for you to ask questions and when something is not sitting right with you they are keen to try other ways of explaining and work with you so that you are sure you understand. Also they are not keen to give specific 1-2-1 support if you need to discuss something privately or personal.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel like in my role there is lots of different people and lots of different expertise, and my course helps me manage this and get the most out of people when in my normal day to day work. I feel like the knowledge I learn from my training provider helps me perform better at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is so much going on at Pfizer. It is such a large company and there are so many people doing different things there is almost always something to get involved with. At work there are a lot of young careers events, there are lunches for different departments happening, and some people organise socials outside of work such as seasonal events.

Would you recommend Pfizer to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think it is a very forward company with very modern views. There is lots of support available for colleagues and lots of great perks for working with the company. I think there is lots to learn here and its full of great people. Mostly i think that the outputs for the company are vital in society and it is a great feeling to be part of it all.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pfizer?
Firstly make sure you know what you are applying for as each role is very specific and complex, then ensure you are adequately prepared for the interview as the jobs are extremely competitive such as do your research about the company and ensure there is a surplus of evidence to demonstrate skills and knowledge that will be useful to the role you are applying for.
