Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I must respond to tickets and network query's. Sometimes I am required travel to hospitals if the issue cannot be fixed remotely. on top of this work I am part of other teams all building off each other sometimes upgrading legacy hardware and sometimes working with cutting edge hardware.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my program greatly Traveling to lots of different places all across the country. I also enjoy the bi annual apprentice meets where I meet up with all the other apprentices and we learn about other sectors learning different things each time. I find it very interesting finding different solutions to each problem.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Through my years I have developed many skills, Most of these are related to remote connection and networking troubleshooting. I have also drastically improved my competency when it come to excel. I have also improved my communication skills as I am required to talk with people in lots of different sectors.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
There are many different teams in place to help organise all the work I do. The majority is handled by our apprentice coach or line manager but being apart of so many teams most work is easily split up into chunks that can be easily processed. Our training provider also helps with all the qualifications.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
As I mentions there are many different teams. there is the apprentice team who assist in making sure everything runs smoothly. The line manager ensure we have enough work to challenge us but not too much that would overload us. there are also the other apprentices and the people we work with daily who we could easily reach out to if needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
our training provider has helped us the best they can jumping through hoops with quarantine halting progress in the beginning. through this I still have regular meetings with my training provider to assist with upcoming exams and practical examinations. they have arranged multiple meetings to review my coursework as well.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I believe the qualification I have been working towards has helped me understand what my roll more by giving me a more in-depth understanding of the affects of the things I do. I have also found I am able to work much more efficiently after the training needed for my qualifcation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Every year there are two events where all the apprentices gather with the apprentice manager's along with others in the organisation who often give a presentation. These events take place in a new location each time and are often at different company buildings where we can tour to give us a look at the wider organisation.
