Supporting my supervisor in tasks. Supporting the team as a whole. Taking the lead on some projects with supervision from my supervisor.

It was lot to adapt to at first but I am enjoying the work that I am doing.

I am studying for the Project Management Qualification alongside my work so I am learning lots of skills on the job.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is well organised. We have two three hour webinars a month which will go over content for the exam. We also have regular 1-2-1s with the training provider to check our progress.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot of support. There are regular check ins and we are encouraged to speak our mind.

Lots of support. Regular 1-2-1s. Quick replies to emails.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Because I am learning the theory behind the content at the same time that I am actually doing the job. So it lines up nicely.

There are various networks at MoD that you can get involved in. Our scheme also hold regular networking events with other apprentices and graduates in the organisation.
