Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
I run a large Imaging Department in an NHS hospital. Interacting with multiple other professionals within the hospital and outside, along with patients. I oversee the day-to-day activities of the department and are we meeting targets.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
I didn't. The enrollment felt rushed. The induction was no different than the interest session I attended before I enrolled. The lessons was a man reading word for word from slides. The amount of work required to complete was a lot more than expected to fit around my job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
didn't learn as much as I was hoping.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
On paper it looks very well organised, in experience it felt all over the place as people doing the same course had assignments in different orders and different deadlines.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
They fully supported me dropping out, due to the course not meeting expectations.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Adequate.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
It doesn't. I didn't learn anything new and what i developed, I could have achieved on my own.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Networking - if i chose too.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend NHS to a friend?
Yes
Why?
They have a variety of internal courses that develop skills but don't take up your personal time. There are also networks for a variety of things to join if you wished.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
Bring a jumper - the heating doesn't work!
