To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I found it very challenging in places but also very enjoyable. It made me more aware of how my role and actions have an affect on customers and also the business I work for. It made me think more and have more consideration of the outcome of my actions.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've learned many new skills and developed existing ones. This includes planning and task managing to prioritise important jobs to allow me to manage my workload. Providing training, support and coaching to internal and external customers. My level of responsibility is now much higher than it previously was.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was well structured but, if I'm honest, the training provider could have been better. There was very little discovery of my personal learning style and I had several training advisors throughout the apprenticeship meaning there were delays in my completion.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received full support from my employer. I really couldn't have expected more and it was actually probably more than I anticipated.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider did offer extra support in areas where needed which I was very grateful for.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe it helps considerably. It has made me more confident. I am better at seeing the bigger picture or wider impact of actions and have become better at organising my workload. My interactions with customers has also improved too.
Since completing my apprenticeship, I have also progressed in my career and fully believe that the learning and experience helped a lot in securing my new role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have a sports and social club which provide days / evening out at events in the local area. As a team we also go for meals every couple of months just to socialise outside of work which helps to strengthen us as a team I believe.

Would you recommend Pearson to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I started here as a temporary employee for three days. The three days turned into about three months and at this point I secured a full time permanent role. Not long after starting that role I was offered the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship and I jumped at the opportunity, think I may have been the oldest apprentice in my town though. Since then I have secured another role within Pearson moving forwards in my career. If anything, I am proof that if you work hard and stay focused, your hard work is rewarded. This is why I would recommend Pearson. The salary, pension and benefits are great too.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pearson?
Be yourself. If you get an interview be honest and be you. If you have the interview you already meet the academic requirements to do the job, Pearson are a big team and it's often if you're the right person as much as how qualified you are.
