Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
1 day a week would involve attending online uni classrooms, where I would complete training/coursework to contribute to my degree. The other 4 days would involve me picking up testing tasks within my team, the same as other testers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
It can be hard at first to adapt to completing higher qualifications, alongside daily work, however when you find the right balance, you will benefit hugely by having the qualifications and work experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Before my apprenticeship, I had no knowledge of any of the testing tools I use daily. My communication skills have also improved, as I have to provide input into any of my team's meetings.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
It was well structured how we got 1 whole day per week to complete our studies, however, some of the modules didn't seem to relate to my daily work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My manager was always very supportive and organised any assistance if
I needed it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
It is much more self-sufficient for the higher qualifications, as they expect you to go off and do the relevant research.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Not all the modules seemed very relevant to what I complete at work, however, some were insightful and provided me with different approaches to my current work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Sage has various extra-curricular activities to get involved in, just recently I was able to travel to Murrayfield to watch the six nations, due to Sage being the sponsor.
