Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

It can vary from hiring out tools through our fleet that we have or if that's not possible going through a rehire supplier to supply customers with an array of equipment that we stock on our fleet. Other responsibilities include the servicing and repair of tools
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Given the time I've been allotted, i try and fill in the ILP i've been given when i can and try to learn new things where i can. Of course the apprenticeship is just like doing my job with the additional learning, but of course trying to enjoy what i do is important

How well organised/structured is your programme?

From the start I had to attend monthly calls regarding the different subjects on the course, when they ended I would have monthly calls with my apprenticeship coach who has always been helpful and would offer help where they can
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I get the support of my line manager as well as one other colleague, however most people are not aware i do an apprenticeship or what i even do on it, this includes the BM and ABM
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider has been super helpful from providing helpful documents and advice to being on call when i have a question or query im not sure about
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Doing this apprenticeship has meant that i have done things i felt i probably wouldn't have done otherwise and by doing this it has pushed me to do things i wouldn't usually do

Why?
There is always far too many inconsistencies in communication from the top down to base level colleagues which makes working incredibly frustrating
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Travis Perkins plc?
Be prepared for them to try and mess you around as much as possible whilst they might tell you they are flexible and abide by these values
