Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My job is to provide technical support in person or online to office users who need it. We also provide in-person support for important events that happen in the office in both formal and informal meeting rooms.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy meeting people on a daily basis and being able to help with any computer problems they may have, it is very satisfying to be able to help someone else who is in trouble. Besides it is a job where you always learn something new and every day they vary.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt a lot of new things, everything about the IT sector and I have been able to improve my communication skills by being exposed to customer service all the time.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is very well organised, and the content is good but sometimes repetitive, I like the way the programme is set up but the platform is not very accurate.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer could not have been more supportive and encouraged me to do my job as best I can and keep learning, I am very happy with the company and happy to be a part of it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I think that the provider should take into account that in order to do assessments and work, the trainers should have more time for the students and I think that some teachers are overcrowded.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I think it has helped me to understand the basics of the work and support so that later on in the workplace I can start to apply it.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, we have a lot of activities in the office from different departments, plus my department also has a lot of social and work events where we are encouraged to learn and connect with other colleagues.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Pearson to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think it is a great education company, in which they are dedicated to it and take care of every detail, I like their values and work ethic and that they will always try to look at the best options for each person when it comes to finding the best way of learning for them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pearson?
I would tell them to be encouraged and that it is a great opportunity to learn, to grow professionally and personally, that if they have any problems they should look for support in the company because they will always find it and that they should never doubt their future because doors will always open.
