Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the virtual internship and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Event lasted 9am to 5pm. Consisted of various opportunities to meet lawyers of differing levels of seniority. Also had an interactive commercial awareness workshop which last 2.5 hours.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was quite an eye opening experience and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to interact with professionals who engage with the highest caliber of work on a daily basis.

I deepened my understanding of the commercial implications behind an acquisition deal. Importantly, I learned a lot of the real world problems which would arise in a given hypothetical scenario.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere was generally very welcoming. The only issue was that there was sometimes not enough time for every question to be answered.

I would say that an Open Day’s benefits are incredibly valuable, but can only be attained if you do the proper legwork and put in effort to learn more about the firm before the event. You can only learn if you have intelligent questions to ask.
