Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is essentially broker support, this being called client service delivery. I draft insurance contracts, produce endorsements, get contracts invoiced etc, Specifically for Financial Services however I help out with other teams when assistance is required. My role is very interactive with the broking teams, which I enjoy as it helps me to expand my relationships within Aon.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I highly enjoyed the apprenticeship programme, I feel I have developed and expanded my knowledge massively since when I joined in 2021. I enjoy my role within Aon, working with those on my team as well as the broking teams. I am looking forward to begin the next level and progress further.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I feel that I am continuously learning new skills and developing on existing skills within my day to day role. Within my role, I always find myself asking questions to those within my team, which expands my knowledge and helps me to progress. My knowledge around contracts and how they should look develops each day and I am slowly becoming more confident in this part of my job role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
When I first started the programme, I understood the structure of the programme along with the timelines within the programme, for example, when each exam needs to be sat by, when to enter gateway by etc. This timeline was followed well in personal experience, and I completed my apprenticeship in line with this.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I feel I received support in order to complete my programme, from my line manager as well as those within my team. If I needed to take some time to study I would be allowed that as well as if I needed any assistance for upcoming exams, like having the opportunity to shadow others, I would get the required help for this to happen.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Our training provider was supportive in terms of building our knowledge in order to be prepared to complete the programme. Davies were always there to offer support when it was needed. In my personal experience I was changed to a new coach half way through the programme and experienced some issues however this was dealt with appropriately by Davies.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
The CII exams ( specifically I10) have helped me perform better in my role massively. As I work within broker support, understanding the broking role in more depth really helped my understanding of my role and how this benefits Aon. The learning sessions provided by Davies helped me in the early stages of my role as it gave me a good base knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes - I have participated in several professional networking events and social events. some of which are through my team, some being via early careers. Aon does have sports teams, however I do not personally participate in those.
