Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
During my internship with the Retro Broking team, I supported the placement and administration of retrocession programs. My daily tasks included updating placement, loss and appetite trackers, analyzing client data, and assisting with renewal documentation and marketing. I also participated in team meetings and helped to facilitate the roll out of new app in our team to improve efficiency.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given a meaningful level of responsibility. I was trusted to handle data analysis, contribute to the preparation of key documents, and communicate with senior members of the team. My supervisors encouraged me to take initiative and supported me in managing tasks independently, which allowed me to develop a strong understanding of the broking process.
