Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
The role is essentially implementing the Data Analytics Lifecycle, using data analytics and technology to share valuable business information with decision-makers in your company. This involves developing and maintaining dataflows from a variety of sources of data, and employing analysis to provide actionable insights that inform enterprise decision-making
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The work-based element at Sage is immensely rewarding, both in terms of personal and professional development. Despite the focus upon the constant and consistent flow of data, each day can bring new opportunities and challenges in problem-solving and developing effective and sustainable solutions

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
The role is a huge shift in career direction for me, so although I have had plenty of time to use and develop my existing skills, the role offers a wide range of enterprise-level learning opportunities in the handling and processing of data to develop knowledge and skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The Multiverse component is well-structured in principle, but the tools provided are not as intuitive and clear as they could be, and navigating the syllabus can be difficult. However, the support from Sage has been outstanding, and the team take a keen interest to integrate our work-based learning opportunities
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support from Sage has been outstanding, with regular conversations to identify progress and milestones so that work-based experience and learning compliments the Multiverse syllabus in a balanced way. Outside of that, there is a clear interest in our personal and professional development
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Multiverse have provided both one-to-one and group-based coaching which works reasonably well, although it would be helpful to have more formal opportunities to experience the apprenticeship journey through multi-agency discussion/forums to learn how others are applying the learning in different contexts
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Being only 4 to 5 months through, it has so far provided the foundation of knowledge and experience (rather than "skills") to help direct our continued work-based learning and professional development, but lacks the specific context in which to develop any context-specific proficiency or expertise
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Sage provides a wide range of professional networking events, and there are regular team-focused and regionally-focussed professional events with a clear emphasis upon social networking
