Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Day to Day I work in change within the bank, this involves planning for projects, meetings with stakeholders and third parties. As well as this, I undertake procedural changes for the frontline agents within the bank. My hours are flexible and i have the ability to manage my own diary,
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I do enjoy the program, every day is different and not at all repetitive, as well as this we have a new placement every year, therefore we get to experience new roles and responsibilities often. We have lots of support within work and also within our studying with uni and Kaplan.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes, I have experienced new areas of the bank which has allowed me to increase my knowledge within different sectors. Along with this the degree has given me new skills such as report/essay writing, organisational skills, presentational skills and communications. There are numerous workshops we can attend to increase our skills too such as excel.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Very well, we have a timetable for 4 years, therefore we know exactly when our lectures are for the whole 4 years and when our assignments will be due. This has allowed us to plan in advance and around our studying. We are also aware of when we will move placements and what placement it will be in advance.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Good support, we have a team dedicated to the apprentices within the bank, as well as this we have a personal program specialist which we can meet with every month to talk about our progress or anything we may need help with. There are frequent calls with the management team and apprentices.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Good support, we have monthly check ins with the Kaplan, the ensures we are on track and up to date, also if we need any support we are able to get it here. With uni studying we have our lectures and then above this we have 'office hours' which is time we can go and ask the lecturer anything.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It's allowed me to build on my knowledge, we have spoke about areas such as risk, products and services, which does help my understanding in day to day roles. Also the workshops the training providers provide are things such as organisational workshops and this has also helped in my day to day role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
We there are numerous events, within the apprenticeship we have had a event in which we met everyone and completed pizza making. Within the bank there are numerous working groups which you can be involved in depending on interests. An example would be wellbeing working group. There are no sports teams.
