Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a daily basis I work towards putting together a monthly cross sell email campaign. This includes creating the copy, gathering the assets needed, and updating the promotional aspect. I also create reports based on this campaign and other campaigns that my team run. I attend group training college sessions and we do monthly assignments to prepare us for the final exam/project report.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I absolutely love my job, and everyday is different. I love having the opportunity to continuously learn new things and be exposed to different elements of the business. I am enjoying the confidence that is coming with time and I feel like that will continue to grow as I develop future into my apprenticeship.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learned so many new skills during my apprenticeship so far. Before starting this job, I did not have much experience in marketing so it was like entering a whole new world. I have gained confidence in running the monthly cross sell campaigns end to end. I have learned how to create in depth reports on the back of campaigns. And I have learned how to communicate with a large variety of stakeholders.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I began my apprenticeship at the start of October and did not actually enrol to college until end of November, so at the beginning I was a bit apprehensive. However, it is now April and I feel fully settled into my apprenticeship. I have a clear delivery plan of how the remaining time is set out.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is a great support in regards to my apprenticeship. If I have any questions, they go above and beyond to find out the answer for me and support me in the best way possible. They always seem to put my progression and apprenticeship journey first which is nice. I feel very valued.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider does monthly training sessions where we are taught the relevant module. We then do an assignment based on our learnings. We also have one to ones and progress reviews where we have the opportunity to ask any questions and reach out for any support that we need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel like my continuous training is helping me perform better with my job role because certain elements relate directly to my daily tasks and longer term projects. I believe this will continue as I learn new things and allow me to relate them to my daily work so I am able to perform to the best of my ability.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
One thing that I have loved being involved in is taking part in volunteer days through Sage Foundation. With my team we spent the day unpacking and sorting donations in a local charity shop. We also have another day planned to help garden in a different charities allotment. These sort of opportunities are amazing.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Sage (UK) Ltd to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think Sage values and treats their employees well. I believe it is a great place to work and there is always the opportunity to progress which is great. The work culture is very positive and I particularly enjoy the flexible hybrid working, allowing me to work from home 3 days per week.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage (UK) Ltd?
Just be yourself. The best part of my recruitment process was the fact that I got to be myself and that was encouraged. Sage loves unique, out the box thinkers. I did not go to university so thought it might be difficult to get a job, but I was transparent about wanting to start my career at Sage and I was welcomed with open arms from day 1.
