Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

It varies from rotation, we switch between supply chain, marketing, sales and CDT and rotate every 9 months until the final year where you specialise in a sector that you feel fit you best and is most appropriate. My job role in sales involves Excel and Admin as well as selling and networking
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I massively enjoy my apprenticeship there is tons and tons of support available and it’s an amazing workplace the benefits of a degree apprenticeship outweigh anything else. I couldn’t have been happy with my choice between university and an apprenticeship. It helps to develop all sorts of skills
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to use new systems that I couldn’t use before for example Excel and powerpoint and internal systems that are specific to Nestle. I have also been able to develop my social skills as well as presentation skills in order to make me more confident
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured I know what each person does and what who I need to go to for each problem/ issue. Each module is posted before we learn about it in order for us to view the structure of the lessons and do prework if we want to. It is clear what direction we are going in for the future
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots and Lots of support. You can join the networks which involve raising awareness for minorities such as disabilities and races as well as helping LGBT+. they also offer support in mental health as well as having loads of point of calls and buddy’s for you so that there is always someone to turn to
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They prioritise the apprenticeship over work and want us to succeed in the apprenticeship as much as they want us to succeed in work. So time and support is given for when assignments are due or we have uni work to do/ catch up on. Coventry isn’t very involved in the apprenticeship however it balances out with our tutors
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It will help me to perform better in my role because everything we learn is able to be applied and demonstrated through our role and we are able to see it in real life/ get real life examples of how theory fits in with practical working and more such as
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes. There are plenty of networks and societies to join. For example volunteering days . there is always opportunity to take on extra training to further your self development. They have networks such as Eradicating racism, Force for good streams. Who am I?, One world to name a few, but there are many more

Why?
Because they have amazing benefits, and the working environment is so healthy and positive their main priority is ensuring they get the best out of you which means looking after to you their work around psychological safety and healthy minds really shows that they care. Nestle is a great place to work
