Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am the deputy hotel manager who takes on the day to day running of the hotel in the absence of the hotel manager.
I oversee the team on reception and housekeeping, dealing with any problems at site.
Finance and NSF healthy and safety are also my job.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do enjoy the programme and the interaction we have with our learner.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Learned leadership skills and how to deal with change.
I am alot more confident on finance policies and I have developed more skills in ER polcies.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is very structed and we work through aptem which is alot easier to navigate.
Meetings are always organised and we always know when we have them.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer does support me, but lately we have gone through different hotel managers which is why I am a bit behind on my out of hours

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider gives me all the support I need. I can email or phone her whenever I need help even if I have not got an appointment booked in.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I do feel like it helps me to preform more as I have taken some of the modules on board and it has actually helped me in some problems that have arisen at site.
