Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role varies day to day, I have a wide variety of jobs;
Online picking, stock replenishment, Picking stock, adjusting stock levels, opening up/ shutting down the shop, cash office, Date alerter, Cashier, answering the phone, dealing with delivery issues.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I feel that the program has made me view the customer differently. I have always been polite to customers but the program has made me realise how important the customer experience is. It had also opened up parts of the business that I wouldn’t have otherwise known about.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have been trained in the cash office and usually close up the store once a week which keeps it all fresh in my mind.
I feel that I have been given more chances to practise skills, which has given me more confidence in my role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think the program is well structured. It’s broken down into sections so it doesn’t seem too overwhelming. I do feel that I need more help from my store management for some parts that I find hard. Which will be my next step.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I think the help is there if I ask for it but I don’t feel that I can ask for help because the management are always so busy, so I don’t want to put more pressure on them.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider is great. She is always helpful, if I get stuck I can send her a message and I will always get a quick reply. I feel at ease when we have our virtual meetings which is something that I was apprehensive about before joining.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel that it makes me more aware of myself and how what I do affects the business. I have more confidence in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
Not that I am aware of.
