Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role is to check companies accounts and see if their financial statements show a true and fair view. The tasks I perform are for example cash testing and expenditure testing. This is where I look at the companies bank statements and letters to see if this matches their records.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme a lot because everyday I am doing new things and I'm always learning. I love looking at numbers and working as an auditor as it is a very challenging job but something that drives me to work harder and perform audits at the highest level.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt many new skills. One skills I developed is my organisational skills as you have to be very organised when working as well as studying at the same time. You have to balance out both sides in order to peform well at work as well as pass your exams.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well organised as there is always seniors there to help you if you are struggling with your work as well as Kaplan being available to assist you with your studying. There is also a talent coach given to each employee to discuss the new things you have learnt and helps you in your day to day job.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of Support from my employer as. For example, there are seniors available in each audit so new employees don't struggle but I also receive new tasks to increase my knowledge and experience in auditing. They also assign us a buddy when we first join to help guide us in our first couple of audits and teach us their skills they have learnt.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive lots of support from my training provider. For example, they provide us book modules to read and annotate and also have an on demand learning section where teachers teach us the content. They also provide us bibliu which is question paper practise which helps us for the real exam
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My qualification helps me in my role as the courses I am studying are relevant to my role such as financial accounting and reporting and assurance. I have learnt about trial balances and income statements and how they are produced and calculated which are used in the world of audit.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are quite a few activities in my workplace. One is a weekly football team where employees are in a football league where they face other teams that form companies. Another is netballing and also rounders. There is also social events weekly to help us communicate with other employees and get to know them

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Crowe UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is an amazing accounting firm that listen to your needs and tries to meet them. They have wonderful employees that are very welcoming and friendly. The firm is very inclusive and also diverse. As a person from an ethnic minority background I was worried I would not fit in but I was totally wrong and love working for Crowe.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Crowe UK?
I would tell other applying to Crowe is to just be themselves and not to worry about asking questions if they have something that they would want to know. I would also tell them to be interactive with the interviewers and also not to be afraid to voice your opinion.
