Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Assisting audit teams in the auditing of client financial systems and processes in order to provide reasonable assurance over the accuracy of the financial statements to the management of our clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed learning new processes and styles of testing. I enjoy the different types of clients we audit and the variation in working from the office and client site.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
With a 5 year apprenticeship in a completely new field of work, there was a number of key skills and behaviours I have learnt within this apprenticeship program.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
We have learning plans provided to us that are semi-flexible but appear to be more flexible for the employer as compared to the employee. With upcoming changes to finance apprenticeships, we have still not been informed of how this change affects us.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
Support networks and people are in place to discuss any queries or concerns with anything from exams, work to personal matters. There is policies in place to facilitate hybrid working to suit your needs if you discuss this with your line manager.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Majority of the tutors are really enthusiastic and helpful during and after completing your courses. However, large class sizes at times combined with some less enthusiastic tutors can make it sometimes a raffle on whether you get a good experience or not.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The exams that we sit at Crowe are tailored to suit our role as much as possible.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There is a social committee that are always happy to field ideas from anyone and a wide range of socials are provided that appeal to all. There is no real networking that goes on until you reach a management level.
