Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Assisting in the creation and development of creative projects, such as brainstorming ideas, creating sketches, or designing layouts.
Learning technical skills and tools specific to the creative field, such as graphic design software, camera equipment, or editing tools.
Observing and learning from experienced professionals, such as attending meetings or shadowing their mentor during client presentations.
Developing a portfolio of work that showcases their skills and progress as an apprentice.
Collaborating with other team members, such as writers, photographers, or marketers, to bring creative projects to life.
Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and incorporating new techniques and ideas into their work.
I am focused on learning the skills and techniques needed to excel in a creative field, while gaining real-world experience and developing a professional network.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying my time at channel 4, it is a great experience and have developed myself to a great extent in my diverse skills. Getting to know my colleagues has been a delight and hope to continue exploring the film industry while improving myself as a person.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Communication skills: Effective communication is important in my workplace, and can involve writing, speaking, and listening. Good communication skills help me to collaborate with others, convey my ideas and needs clearly, and build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
Time management and organisational skills: prioritise tasks, manage your time effectively, and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines is essential in many workplaces.
Problem-solving and critical thinking: In any job, I encounter unexpected challenges or obstacles that require creative problem-solving skills. I have been able to think critically and develop innovative solutions can help you to overcome these challenges and succeed in your work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well structured, I rotate department within my team and am constantly given work that challenges and improves me. Having various managers in each department also expands my knowledge on how to organiastation works and what i should be doing when in my workplace at any time and place.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i receive support everyday from different memebers of the team and then have a weekly review with my manager to ensure i am supported to a great extent and am not left without work to do. Any queries i have are answered quickly and promplty via email or a chat.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

a lot of support, i meet weekly with my course tutor to ensure i am up to date with my qualification and i am prioritising what i should be at the correct times. i have seesions where my tutoe teaches me business admin and i submit essays to her regulalry.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
very much so, the things i learn in business admin helps me in my role and i use what i learn there in my day to day activities such as writing essays, managing diaries and coordinating with internal and external collegues, i am also doing my epa on my work so i relate the two
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Channel 4 has a lot of employee networks in which anyine can join a specific community and become a part of their activities and networking events, siuch as 4 collective which is for disabled employes and the shed which is for male mental health, it is good to meet other collegaues wiithin these palces.

it is a great place to work with a nice atmoshphere and great people. the work is really important to the whole organisation as a whole and i am improving everyday, i feel as if it is a really good community to work with and is a top organisation to work at.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Channel 4?
to be yourself dutring the interview and show the interviwer that you care about the role and can relate to the work you are doing, it is mainly about how you come across and showing you have the ability to work at the channel and would be a good adittion to the team
