About Channel 4

Channel 4 is free-to-air and freely available to all of the UK. We have the UK’s biggest free streaming service, All 4, plus a network of 6 television channels. Since Channel 4 was created in 1982, it has been at the centre of national conversations and a catalyst for the creation of a world-beating production sector in the UK. Our purpose is to create change through entertainment. We do this by representing unheard voices, challenging with purpose and reinventing entertainment.

Our unique model – commercially-funded but publicly-owned – means that we’re able to offer independent and distinctive, universal content reflecting the interests of different communities across the UK. As a publisher-broadcaster, Channel 4 commissions UK content from the independent production sector and currently works with around 300 creative companies across the UK every year.

Channel 4s apprenticeship programme offers people with no prior experience the opportunity to come and work for us for 14-36 months and gain a Level 2, 3, 4 or 6 qualification in a subject related to the role they’ll be doing. We offer apprenticeships in a range of departments from 4Studio to Finance, and we don’t ask for any prior experience or qualifications, just passion and commitment.

Your4 is Channel 4's exclusive community for 16-24 year old's where you have the opportunity to take part in fun, interactive surveys on a variety of topics from TV to fashion, pop culture to politics and everything in between - you’ll even get the odd exclusive sneak-peek of what’s coming up on TV before anyone else. You’ll be part of a place where you can get your voice and opinions heard, represent UK youth and influence what Channel 4 do as a company in the future. In addition, to say thanks, there is the opportunity to earn £1-£3 per survey and be entered into regular prize draws to win vouchers and a range of other amazing prizes, along with the chance to add media experience to your CV and hear about Channel 4 jobs.
