Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I have to attend lectures following a structured timetable for each module of the degree. Each year of course allows the knowledge base and skill base practice to work alongside the classroom teaching.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the structured approach set by the University & ongoing support from my employer. This has enabled me to fulfil a dream & desire to further my professional development.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I've been provided with a detailed knowledge base to develop skills, and assessments needed to help care for the patients I look after. Through placement, I gained valuable advice and skill sets from experienced nurses.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Since the start of the program, it's clearly been evident how structured this program has been run in previous years. This allows for any concerns to be raised, and doubts to be discussed with everyone involved. This allows for effective communication and clarity.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Since the start of my application, acceptance and start of my degree the employer has been by my side every step of the way. They have allowed me to work at my own pace with no interruptions, asking to be update every 12 weeks.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have been impressed with how Plymouth University supports its students and lectures on all aspects of their education and personal life. Quite recently I lost a dear friend, the support, outreach and services provided helped me so much.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
With the structured level of education provided, has allowed for a great basis of knowledge to build upon in clinical practice. An approach allowing for safe practice & awareness of everyone in the working enviroment.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are several opportunities to act as a volunteer which aim to provide information at Careers events to assist with apprenticeship experiences.

Yes
Why?

They provide a great place to work, learn, develop and grow within the working environment and support you with progression.
