Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I’ve enjoyed my apprenticeship thoroughly these past couple of years. That’s not to say it’s not been tough but I’ve learnt so much and developed massively.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
So I’ve starting my apprenticeship with lifetime training and Aldi, I have learnt numerous new skills and devolved existing skills to.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My programme has been very organised from lifetime training giving me structured work plans to complete theory. However at times it has been tough in store, sometimes receiving very limited training in certain areas due to staff shortages and bustier times. But all in all the last few on the have been more structured and balanced.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I have received I decent amount of support from my employer, the only thing I’d ask more of is, maybe having more time to sit with my manager and discuss next steps/how things are going.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I have revived a lot of support from my tutor, whoever I have a question I will always receive a reply within a few hours. They have always been there in terms of asking how things are going and asking about work life balance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Immensely. All the work I do at home has had a massive impact in how I perform in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
As of yet I haven’t had any extra-curricular activities put forward to me.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Aldi to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It’s hard work and can be challenging. But overall I’ve developed as a person massively and have learnt so much. My skill set is bigger and stronger and I’ve grown to be a more confident person.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
Be ready to prove your self. It’s gonna be hard but in the end it’s worth it, I’m a more confident person now and have gained so much knowledge from my apprenticeship. I’m ready for the next steps in my career now thanks to my apprenticeship.
