Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

every 3 months or so HR apprentices are moved to a different department. We are allocated 1 day a week to focus on apprenticeship work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The apprenticeship side of things is very informative and interesting although there is a lot of work with that plus day-to-day work. Time management is everything.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, this is my first time being in HR/business environment. I have learned a lot about business and also gotten over my fear of presentations.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

I cannot fault the organisation, everything is easy to access and use.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer is very hands-on and I have constant support when I need it.

It is easy to get support through email but you rarely need help as we have weekly catchups

There are lots of apprenticeship events and the BBC has a focus on the apprenticeship hub as the future so we are recognised a lot.

Would you recommend BBC to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a good company with good benefits. You feel proud of who you work for and want to tell everyone. The staff are overly welcoming and friendly, also offering a hybrid working environment.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
Be yourself and try to remain positive. The application process can be quite long but don't give up. If you are lucky enough to get a position then make friends with everyone.
