Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
on a day to day basis i am shadowing my mentor and helping carry out jobs. Other days i am in college completing my level 3 qualification and then other days go to the training centre to get any other work done that is needed to do for the job
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy this programme very much. It is helping me not only develop my engineering skills but developing socially speaking with different engineers - learning from different people from different countries and walks of life all adds to the enjoyment of this job. And hopefully in the future the prospects look good

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I feel like i have developed skills in all levels of my career. From the engineering aspect i came in to this job with little to no experience in the field and now through working at college, but mostly going out mentoring i have developed many skills in the engineering sector.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I feel like the structure and organisation of this programme is well organised as there is a dedicated member of staff who looks after all of the engineers. With this in place, it feels well planned and we know our deadlines and have regula meetings and catch up to discuss things.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
From having a dedicated person who is in charge of our apprenticeship i feel like it is easy to ask questions if i have any questions to ask about support. Also with Stegta i am also having support and know the people who to talk to if there are probelms with that side of the job
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider which is called stegta offer me lots of support, if there are any problems we have about our course or about the work that needs to be done they are happy to help and offer good support throughout the apprenticeship. At the moment i have not needed much support but know it is there
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
From having a dedicated person who is in charge of our apprenticeship i feel like it is easy to ask questions if i have any questions to ask about support. Also with Stegta i am also having support and know the people who to talk to if there are probelms with that side of the job
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are extra curricular teams to carry out at work - we have a social in the winter and also a social in the summer and then we have arranged to walk up mount snowdon in a few weeks - so plenty of opportunity to get involved with extra curricular activities in the job.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Siemens Healthineers to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I feel like this is a good job to have - the job prospects at the end look good with the end salary at the end of the apprenticeship - and hopefully once qualified it will be as good as expected and have a long and happy career and others will too.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens Healthineers?
Ensure you are completing any interview questions properly with good planning and make sure you practice with family or friends. Be confident and yourself at the interviews and show how you are interested in engineering and are willing to learn over the years - have a good detailed CV which will link to this job
