Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Management of an aseptic facility within the NHS providing chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition to patients within the hospital and providing advice on aseptic services. Line management of staff and wider team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do enjoy it, but it is also a lot o work so can be incredibly stressful when trying to work full time as well

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes - project management, strategic management, engagement, motivational skills, team building skills. Improved communication skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Mostly it is very well structured. However, there is room for some improvement with some lecturers.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Since moving Trusts from OUH to GWH I have recieved a lot more support from line manager and apprenticeship team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

A lot, always available to help and very supportive.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Definitely has made a difference, I am able to link the course in with my work and think differently about my actions and actions as a department.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
