Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Day to day I communicate with my team and project managers ensuring they keep plans, resource trackers and project reports up to date to ensure the project can progress successfully. It is also important at month end to make sure everyone has booked relevant time so invoicing can be done.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the program and my job role. I much prefer this than just doing university work as sometimes lectures and essay assignments can become quite tedious.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt how to present to stakeholders and how large scale businesses operate and control how they meet their clients needs. I have also learnt lots about project governance and change management and the importance of logging things to refer back to and see the history of what has take place on a project.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I think it's really well structured with lots of opportunities to grow and progress in the company. There are also strong ties between the university and the company so information is communicated effectively and everyone is aware that as an apprentice we are juggling both a full time job and degree.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There is lots of support. You get a biddy also on the same scheme as you to contact if you are unsure as well as your review managers separate from your managers on accounts you may join which you can raise anything with.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
There is support from the University. You still receive all the same benefits from the university as if you were a student full-time there. You have access to the student union, libraries, discounts etc. You also get a university coach who you have reviews with and can book 1:1's should you get stuck with anything along the way. They also communicate with your employee to make sure you are getting the support you need.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It teaches you theory on how different areas of the business may operate and increases your awareness of working with others, in teams, and being productive and proactive in making decisions around business, finance, and group work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots of graduate and apprentice social events held nationwide, so when one is in you area it's always nice to attend or travel to another city to meet others which helps grow your network.
