The ACCESS Scheme is a two-year development programme consisting of twelve elements, including a work experience, mentoring and tutoring.
To what extent did you enjoy your work experience?

To a large extent, I enjoyed the work experience. There was a focus on transferable skills which I preferred as they would be relevant for any career I chose to pursue afterwards.
How well organised was your work experience?

It was very well organised. There was a timetable with a variety of sessions and with clear times to ask questions to trainees and associates.
How much did your work experience help you in deciding on your future career path?

It was key as it made me realise I definitely want to pursue a career in commercial law. The firm was in contact with us regularly after the work experience element to have coaching sessions and learn more about the firm
Were you paid or reimbursed for this experience?

The scheme was virtual but any travelling after the work experience element was reimbursed.

Skills: communication, team work, collaboration, public speaking skills, commercial awareness

Company Culture

How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?

I learnt a lot about the culture, especially since most of the panel speakers did the ACCESS scheme themselves so it was great to learn about their journey's.
Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees?

There were numerous Q&A sessions to interact with trainees and associates.
