Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a nursing auxiliary in an emergency Department at great Western hospital. My main responsibilities are patient care, I also have some clinical training such as ecg's, venepuncture, observations, back slab plastering and wound care.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the assignments and the extra learning even though it has proved difficult at times.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have worked along side nurses and doctors to perfect my skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Until about 5 months ago it was awful, I had 2 assessors who did not help me at all and i fell so far behind on all of my assignments, but my latest assessor is amazing and I have caught up a lot and nearly completed my level 3.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

To be honest next to no support at all. My assessor has had to demand I have my off the job hours as for over 12 months I had nothing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

As I have mentioned my latest assessor has been amazing and helped me so much.
