Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I'm responsible for researching new technologies, defining strategy, and designing then implementing new network-related products to meet the requirement of the business,
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I've found it interesting and informative - it has helped to shape my thinking on how work realted to my role will be done in future, and allowed me to focus on the elements of my job that deliver the most value to the company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes - i've become proficient at writing software to help me with automating elements of my role that have an element of repetition, or that can be simplified. This frees me up to focus on more important aspects of my role.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Extremely well structured - although it has been purely remote, this has suited me as a home worker with a young family.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive lots of support from Pearson, from granting me time to work on my course to providing advice and assistance within the apprenticeship team.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
OU have been great in providing support, and I would definitely choose them for my future learning needs if the opportunity arose.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification in and of itself is helpful, but more important are the skills I've learnt and the way it has helped to shape my thinking about technology, and how to integrate it successfully.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes - there are many, but as previously mentioned I have a young family and work from home, so I don't often take advantage of these.
