Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
In my role as a Web Assistant I rebuilt pages In AEM (Adobe Experience Manager), ensured all pages assets are correct - images and videos and updated the current website page properties. Additionally we were asked to implement consistency across the website. In addition cropping assets and ensuring the correct accreditation was placed on each image was a huge part of the role.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoyed the program and enjoyed working with [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. In addition I enjoyed working with different teams such as the marketing team or the sales team and understanding how the different teams come together to make one big team - like a puzzle - they fit into each other. However one suggestion I would like to give is I would have preferred doing more different things such as: working more in marketing or doing different tasks as after a while I felt some tasks became repetitive.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes I have learnt to be more organised and my time management has also improved. Moreover working with Adobe Photoshop and AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) has also given me the skills which I require to be able to apply for a job in AEM or do a course. Working within teams is another skill I have developed.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
The induction was quite long - setting up laptops took a bit of time. The training for Photoshop and AEM was not so long, playing around and getting to practice working with both the software helped me to become more comfortable with them. The support I received from [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was good, he always tried to help to the best of the ability and working with him was fun. Meetings were set and we were asked how we found the program, if we felt we needed help etc.. Task delegation was fine.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
- [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] offered great support
- His mentoring was good and he tried to support us to the best of his ability
- Accessibility of support was fine and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] always made sure we was able to ask for help
- Guidance with problems were clear and easy to follow
- General attitude towards support me was great
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I received all the support I required. If needed I asked [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the Higherin Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] for help and I knew he would assist me to the best of his ability. In addition guidance with problems were clear and easy to understand. Moreover the general attitude towards supporting me was always positive and good.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel that after completing the work experience I have a better understanding and more clear vision of what career I would like to go into in the future. Additionally I have learnt I do not like to do repetitive tasks and so when applying for jobs I have applied to jobs which incorporate a mixture of daily tasks and working both alone and in teams.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I was not told.
