Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I look after different social media/ website campaigns. I provide marketing support and guidance where necessary to internal/ external stakeholders. I look after our corporate social media channels. I create content to attract the best talent. I invent new ideas for candidate attraction. Website updates, Glassdoor and also Linkedin support.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme a lot, I think it has definitely sharpened my existing knowledge in digital marketing. I have also met people in similar positions as me, so it feels less daunting when communicating with your cohort. The support that is provided is good, and overall the work is pretty straight forward.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have expanded my knowledge on my overall marketing skills, this includes looking over data and analytics for our social media channels. This also involves project management, landing page creation, approving social media assets, or any assets that go live on our website. My communication skills are now expert as my job involves a lot of liasing with clients.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I think my programme is pretty well organised, our bootcamps are always scheduled early, sometimes I do not get sent an invite so its not in my calendar and I will miss my bootcamp, so maybe that could be an area of improvement. Overall, the programme itself is structured well.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I recieve a good amount of support from my Employer, my needs are always taken into consideration. As long as I am keeping on top of work, then there is no issue, if I ever feel like it is getting too much, my employer helps out and will ask if I need any extra support etc.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a good amount of support from my training provider, we have monthly catch ups where I can ask any questions on areas I need help with. I can also email my coach any time to ask for things if I need further help. All sessions are recorded too which is helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe my qualification helps me perform better in my role as they both tie in well together, as I am in a digital marketing role. I also think that its helped me decided which career path I want to choose next as I have studied different areas of marketing.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Our workplace always have activities that our employees can get involved in, there are a wide range. They are also over teams which is good as we are a hybrid workplace so it is easier for some employees to participate. We have our own Capgemini rugby team that play once a year.

Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
No
Why?
I feel as though, the rewards/ salary do not show how hard working the employee is, the progression is very slow and you will feel like a stand still for a long time. I am not so sure about the heirarchy we are put in when we do join capgemini, nothing seems fair.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
I would say to make sure you are going in to the role knowing all details about the workplace and culture, I would also suggest asking in advance about salary and progression as it is not always what you would expect. Do your research about the company and values, very important.
