Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Being in my first year of my apprenticeship I attend a training centre every day where I receive all the training I will be needing for when I go out into the field for my job, the training centre provided it very good and I learn many different things which will all become useful to me in the future.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the programme a lot as it has taught me new and very interesting things, I also have met new people who have all been very kind and are easy to get along with and have a laugh with, the company is a good and fun place to work at as they include everyone and everyone gets along and helps eachother.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Since I have started my apprenticeship I have learnt many new skills some of which I never would have thought about learning until I started. Some of my skills which I previously had have also been developed massively due to the different experiences and meeting new and more knowledgeable people who are able to teach me more within my company.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is very well structured as there is always people who are able to help you out and assist you if you get stuck on something. They will also try and teach you so that next time you might face this issue you can try to resolve it yourself. As well as always having people there are many online websites which you can go to and research what the problem might be.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer and if I ever need anything I know that I can call them and they will be able to help me resolve the issue. They also do frequent check ups to make sure we are doing alright and have calls so that we can go through how we’re doing and what we have been up to.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My training provider is very useful as whenever I am stuck on a problem I can let them know and they will help me learn and improve my knowledge on it. They also have many different people who are specialised to one specific area and will know a lot about it and they are all easy to speak to and help out a lot.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I believe the qualification will help me a lot when I go onto my second year as I learn many different subjects and skills which might all be needed when going into my job role as a service engineer. The skills we learn are all taught very well too so that we know exactly what to do and how to do it.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have many social activities with work so that we can all get to know each other as a team and also so that we can meet new people who we might work with in the future. The extra curricular activities are also a lot of fun and are something to look forward to.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Siemens Healthineers to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a very fun and enjoyable company to work at as all the people there are great people who look after one another, if you ever have an issue you will receive help in a very short amount of time. It is also a very well organised company which makes sure every one is performing as well as they can.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens Healthineers?
learn about the company so you know that it is definitely what you want to do as it is quite different from other jobs but also it is very enjoyable due to the fact that it is different. Also, do expect to work hard as it is a hard apprenticeship but it is all worth it.
