Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Routine laboratory work, sampling platelets for Bacterial screening supervising and training staff. Other work includes daily work load and equipment management.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It is great to know and learn new skills and tasks are reasonably set to accommodate within work and home life but same time keep you engaged to complete your recommended goals and assessments. There is only one issue which is covering and learning a lot of online material, even though this is an advantage but sometime covering every thing is quite difficult.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Programme is well structured and every information is available

excellent support for time off for study and cost for travel. Local training provider.

Support is available all the time depending on your own request and demand. Monthly and quarterly meetings are arranged to review progress and guidelines are provided for any further help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Gaining and expanding knowledge and skills always helpful to make improvements and professionalism to your services and service users which help to improve quality of services and products to patients who's well being is always first and important.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Their are all sort of activities available but due the nature of course, work and timing of work limits to take part in these activities but in available time I take part in my own physical activities

It is an highly professional, clean, helpful and friendly environment and all training is provided to you before performing any tasks. All information regarding modules and access to seek out help is provided. There are always opportunities for learning and expanding your knowledge and experience. There is always emphases on equal and personal development opportunities to enhance and improve personal talent and experiences.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NHS?
Always get in touch with the course leader and find out information about the course and other resources available for the course you are interested and simply decide whether it is something you are interested to do and if you have decided to do it then there is all sort of help is available for you to succeed and achieve your goal.
