Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Working with a variety of vehicles to complete necessary tasks to prepare them for events/sale
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the people I work with and the work can be rewarding at times but also frustrating that I am not being given the in work support/encouragement that I need

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
I have learnt some skills though not as much as I expected or would have liked, the college section of the apprenticeship was not great for developing practical skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The college side of things is well organised but inside my department the organisation for apprentices is very very poor
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
Some support is given via the early careers team but my department is lacking internal support
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
The college and WBLMs are great at providing support and information to complete the qualifications
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
2/5
The qualification is not specifically tailored to the role and my role is quite different from a lot of the other apprentices and makes a lot of the college side non-applicable to what I do on a daily basis
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
I haven’t seen invitations to any other than helping the early careers team

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend JLR to a friend?
No
Why?
Lack of support, poor communication in the company and frustrating practices throughout
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
Make sure you are timely and well presented during interviews, try to show your strengths, key points are working solo and working in a team. There is a practical interview also so be prepared for that.
