Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working with the Finance and Procurement Teams in Siemens Healthineers, completing month end closing and reporting as well as projects for the procurrment team.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy this apprenticeship, everyone is very understanding of studying whilst working full time and I have the most supportive team. The work I am given is varied and interesting, and I have been able to dictate the work base don my interests and where I wish to develop on the apprenticeship.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have used the Microsoft Power App Portfolio to develop my knowledge of digitalisation and to automate processes within the teams. I have also learned a lot from the in-person meetings and coming into the office rather than working from home.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured - It it made up of three one year placements, I am currently in my second year of the scheme, in Oxford. I have a manager for the whole apprenticeship and a line manager for my placement.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My team encourage me to develop and always give me ideas on where I can grow and learn new skills. They are always positive and support me in my studies and in my work. It is a positive and inspiring environment to learn.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I feel well supported: we are given 5 study leave days per exam - far more than other finance apprenticeships with other companies. I have a 6-weekly call with my talent coach from Kaplan to support me with my exam progress and skills development.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

CIMA is very helpful as the knowledge I take from it appears in my everyday work. I can put the things i've learned to use in my finance work and in the procurement team.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, on the apprenticeship we have a meet up anually to meet the other apprentices (who are in their first, second or third year on the apprenticeship) and other graduates on he same scheme. In my placement too there are events held now COVID restrictions are gone, such as clay target shoooting and theatre visits.
