Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Supporting commercial customers with their everyday banking needs - being the relationship team. We provide customers with banking requirements (such as overdrafts and loans), but mainly have a good relationship with them.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the apprenticeship programme. I has enabled me with a stepping stone into the banking world without any prior banking experience. The programme has helped me with other banking development and an understanding on my customers and products.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
My main skill that I have developed is my confidence and communication skills. Being able to interact and speak to customers and staff. I am confident with banking products and systems, and can mentor colleagues.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well structured. By completing the professional bankers certificate at the start allows you to complete all exams before moving onto the coursework. This means that you have time to put towards all aspects of the qualification.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My line manager and colleagues at NatWest are very supportive and encouraging with my apprenticeship programme. If I need help or time to complete certain tasks, I am always supported.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My coach from BPP is always only an email or a phone call away. She will always help answer my questions and support my needs.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The qualification has helped me understand how banks work and what banks provide for customers. This has helped me achieve the next step in my career.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
We have a lot of social activities after work to attend. There are sports clubs to join if you would like and also networking events to meet new people.
