Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Member of team, but have a project I'm responsible for and smaller side projects I'm involved with, am supported by an experience member of the team as well. Also attend a variety of internal and external meetings from different aspects of the company which helps understand how different departments work and interact.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, although supported when needed i'm responsible for an existing project the team had. And am also responsible for a sub system project that affects the whole team.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Quite a lot. Before starting I was assigned a buddy on the graduate scheme for any non technical/project based problems. Within my role line manager is helpful and approach able, he also assigned two experienced members of the team to mentor me and build un skills and confidences. Other members of the team have also been helpful and friendly, everyone very approachable and supportive but not patronising .

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Company culture is very nice. There are ECP specific programs to get involved with and help to meet people. There is a sports club and other groups you can join if you wish as well. Strong diversity initiatives, which are really helpful, supportive and easy to talk to. A group of placement students formed an informal group to go out and meet up as well.
